THE STORY:
When Andrew Messogany’s uncle dies, he is left a fortune with a catch: that he, an innocent farmer, keeps up the family’s reputation as irresponsible, reckless socialites. But even as he and his wife, Flower, pound champagne and party through the night, they are paranoid that the executors will discover they are secretly in a loving marriage. Bored with caviar but not the money that bought it, Flower decides to seal their fate for good. Isn’t money, power, and fame worth a little scandal? And if the newspapers didn’t report it, did it happen at all?
